PELL Grant Funding Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid www.fafsa.ed.gov . PELL funding may be available for qualified students enrolled in specific, eligible Adult & Continuing Education programs ONLY. Students should complete the FAFSA as soon as possible prior to the start of classes. For additional information, contact the Financial Aid office or the Adult & Continuing Education department. TVCC School Code: 003572 TPEG, Continuing Education or TVCC Foundation Funding Students applying for TPEG, Community Services Grant or TVCC Foundation funding must: Step 1: Complete FAFSA application at www.fafsa.ed.gov Step 2: Complete Adult & Continuing Education Financial Aid Application Form Step 3: Register for class & pay tuition and fees. Tuition and fees are due at time of enrollment. Grants may be awarded for a percentage of the student’s tuition or a specific dollar amount. Students are responsible of tuition and fees at the time of enrollment. (Students are also responsible for class materials, textbook, etc.) Grant awards are on a first come-first served basis. Reminder: Use the FAFSA to apply for and qualify for a PELL grant in the academic year of the class to be taken (contact Financial Aid at 903-675-6233 for application instructions or go to www.fafsa.ed.gov ). Grants are dependent upon student eligibility and the availability of funds. (Failure to pass a class will prevent future eligibility for grant funds.) The grant funds are available for approved workforce training classes only. Should TVCC not hold the class, only the portion of tuition paid by the student will be refunded. This refund policy cannot apply to material or books not purchased from TVCC or to TVCC books and/or materials which are opened and/or used. TVCC Bookstore refunds are at the discretion of the bookstore.
